As we began to see in part one, when people wonder how hard it is to start a profitable website, the answer is not hard at all. You can use a bunch of FREE Google tools to make it even easier. There are more and less things you can do but I picked the basic 10.
In part 1 of this post, I gave the first 5 steps. Here are the final 5 steps to a profitable blog the Google Way.
6) Add a cool Feedburner Subscribe to Feed chicklet to your new blog.
Go to your Feedburner Control Panel and open the section called Publicize.
Click on Chicklet Chooser. Select the code you see at the bottom and copy it to your clipboard. Leave the window open.
Next open your Blogger Control Panel in another window and choose Customize from the top menu. Then choose add a page element on your sidebar. Chose Add Text and then edit it. All the code from the clipboard. Call the text item Subscribe or something like that. Price: FREE
7) Add Email Subscription via Feedburner to your blog.
Go back to your Feedburner Control Panel Window still open to Publicize. Enable email subscriptions. Clip the code that is below the top section that starts out: “Copy and paste the following code into any web page”
Next, go back to the other window with the Add Page Elements to Blog page still open. Open up the Subscribe text box and go to the bottom and press enter. Then paste your email code. You now have a email subscription form below a big red feed subscription Chicket. Price: FREE

Become a Google Webmaster.
Go to your Google homepage and click on About Google. Then open the menu item that says Submit your content to Google. Then choose Google Webmaster Tools.
Copy the url of your blog from your browser window and add that URL where Webmaster Tools says to add it. After adding the url, then Google will want you to verify your ownership of blog. Choose add metatag option and copy the code it gives you to clickboard.
Go back to the Window you opened in Part I to edit your Template. If you do not have it open, simply go to your Blogger dashboard and where it gives you a choice to “Manage Posts, Settings or Layout, choose Layout. Then choose to Edit the HTML of the template. Near the top of the template you will see the Head Tag. After the Head Tag, paste your metatag from the clipboard. Save the template.
Go back to the Google Webmaster Tools and click on verify. It you did things right, your ownership of your blog will come up as Verified. You are now an official Google Webmater! Price FREE
9) Now we will add a Sitemap to your Google Webmaster Control Panel. The Control Panel is waiting for a sitemap so click on Add Sitemap.
Then choose Add General Sitemap. Your Blog website URL address will be displayed with a place to put in the name of the sitemap. Simply add this code: “atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100″ and then add the sitemap.
Once you have more than a hundred posts, you can adjust the number which now says “results-100″ to have the 100 replaced by the true number of posts. Your account will now begin reporting data on your website with regard to Google including when the Sitemap is spidered. Price of adding the sitemap FREE.

10) Add Your Blog URL to Google to make it gets looked at. Some people say that once you are up and running in the Google Webmaster control panel and have a sitemap up, that this step is irrelevant. However, having sat and waited for weeks to get my blog indexed, I think that this step is a good practice.
Go to your Google homepage and click on About Google. Then open the menu item that says Submit your content to Google. This time choose Add your URL to Google’s index
Now cut your blog’s url from the browser window and past it into the URL box. You can make comments in the comments box if you want, I’m not sure if they ever get read or if it matters. Put in your captcha and enter your URL into the index.
Now there is a last step that needs to be repeated as often as you can. You need to start posting quality content to your blog. The more the better but make sure that it is original and not redundant. Be sure to create a lot of relevant categories for your posts.
Sooner or later (in most cases), the Googlebot will come along and spider your site. Sometime later, it is hard to predict, your site will start showing up in Google Search Engine Results (SERPs). Since 90 percent of most people’s traffic comes from Google, that will be a very good thing.
You know have a complete web commerce enabled blog monetized by Google Adsense ready to bring you an ever growing stream of revenue! Price of the Commerce Enabled Blog: FREE!
